a question library, presented online to their customers and brokers. Phase 3 is now underway. eRISC uses Microsoft technologies. |

Business analysis, database design and development for The Royal Society (London)
The Royal Society is the pre-eminent organisation supporting scientific advance, with worldwide renown. This project relates
to one of their four strategic priorities, investment in the future of science. The Society manages a substantial funding
programme for the benefit of researchers. Due to the popularity of the various grant schemes it is essential to manage the
grants process electronically. Unfortunately the existing database is proving expensive to maintain and alter, and so
MSM won a competitive tender to replace it with a more modern flexible database and the project is currently underway. |

Business analysis, design, development and support plus hosting for Guideline Lift Services Ltd (Kent)
Guideline Lift Services provide lift maintenance services to clients across the South of England. They required a new job management system to combine their DOS based office system for managing contracts and service agreements with a manual engineer process for logging calls on site.
Working with Guideline, MSM provided business analysis and use cases to clarify the requirements before designing, developing and delivering an online job and engineering management system. This integrated system enables staff to handle sales, orders, contracts, health and safety training and service and emergency bookings via desktops in the office or PDAs for mobile engineers.
Being web based the system has not only reduced the total cost of ownership but provided Guideline engineers with real time information while on the move, improving customer response times and engineer efficiency. They have achieved a significant return on investment as the new system has provided competitive advantage which is helping deliver future growth.

Business analysis, design, development and support plus hosting for PJA Logistics Solutions
Ltd (Cheltenham)
PJA is an innovative company providing an efficient single supplier solution for the use of corporate
executive chauffeur driven transport. Business travel to Heathrow, Gatwick and the major UK airports is provided by fleets
of luxury corporate chauffeur vehicles. We were contracted to develop an on-line booking system for use by PJA’s corporate
clients to place bookings on-line and track their progress. Bookings are then allocated to a subcontract chauffeur company
and individual driver. Both these sets of users also have on-line access to the booking system. One of the unique features
of the system is the promotion of travel sharing amongst corporate travellers, thus reducing fees and optimising vehicle use.
The system was implemented on time and on budget. |

Assessors, verifiers and awarding bodies can all access the system, reducing the administration workload of awarding
NVQs and making it easier to track the evidence and candidates’ progress. There is an online PDA version available to
select users for more efficient assessment. Candidates can connect from home. Our business consultancy persuaded
Quickstep to start charging on a per student basis rather than per college. We also provide web hosting of the whole
